Behind The Green Barndoor
Morgan's 1953 Barndoor panel van was found in Sweden in a very poor condition requiring extensive metalwork for us to restore. Despite the intensive repairs, this vehicle now boasts a fully custom interior and a large-capacity engine, making it one of the coolest Barndoor models around. Hats off to Morgan for investing his time in such an impressive restoration!

The picture below shows the true state of the vehicle and how much work was needed.

Removing the roof and cutting off the rotten gutters, we then installed 2 inches of brand-new metalwork around the entire perimeter, blending it seamlessly.

The bottom 4 inches of the bus had to be removed and replaced, carefully blending the new metal with the original.

We custom made bead rollers so we could re-create the area between the wheel tubs, even down to the factory hatch.
